Senator Koehler visited the Quad Cities Nuclear Generating Station this week for an informative look at the facility.

The very first Gold Star Memorial in honor of the families of veterans killed in action was unveiled this past Saturday in Peoria Heights. Senator Koehler attended the unveiling. More such memorial plaques will be unveiled throughout Illinois.

Senator Koehler met with representatives from OSF Healthcare at the Capitol during The Illinois Health and Hospital Association's Quality Improvement Showcase. OSF Healthcare is a not-for-profit Catholic health care corporation headquartered in Peoria that operates a medical group, hospital system and other health care facilities.

Today, Senator Koehler met with a wonderful group of young scholars from Bradley University to discuss the crucial issue of MAP grants in Illinois, and how we are going to protect the futures of our students.
